Import from Notion

To import data from Notion, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your DevRev Marketplace and search for Notion within the Airdrop category, and install it.
  2. Configure the snap-in by clicking Install. Then go to the Airdrop section in your settings left nav.
  3. Click +Import and select the Notion logo.
  4. Establish a new connection to your Notion account, or utilize an existing connection if available.
  5. Once connected, specify the Notion account you want to import from and select the appropriate DevRev part for any imported work. This action initiates a bulk import of the selected data.
  6. DevRev attempts to intelligently map the fields from Notion to the corresponding fields in DevRev. If required, you may be prompted to perform manual mapping of specific fields.

The time required for the import varies depending on the size of the Notion account and data being imported. It can take from seconds for minimal data to hours for larger datasets with numerous entries. DevRev adheres to Notion's API rate limits, automatically handling any necessary back-off and resume operations.

Post import options

Upon successful import, you have several options for managing the imported data:

  • Sync to DevRev: Synchronize updates from Notion with previously imported items in DevRev. This option also facilitates the creation of new items in DevRev for new entries in Notion subsequent to the last sync or import.
  • View Report: Access comprehensive details regarding the initial import and any subsequent syncs.
  • Delete Import: Remove the import along with all items introduced from Notion into DevRev using this feature.
  • Edit Connection: Modify the connection for future actions, valuable if the connection becomes inactive or the initiator is unavailable.

Sync to DevRev

Following a successful import from Notion, you may opt to sync the imported data with DevRev. This functionality allows for the alignment of new items and modifications with previously imported data from Notion.

To execute a one-time sync to DevRev, perform the following actions:

  1. Go to Settings > Integration > Airdrops.
  2. Locate the previously imported Notion project.
  3. Choose the Sync to DevRev option
